Y-FCT Ø8 Flexible Rogowski Coil is a high-performance current transducer based on the Rogowski principle. It is particularly suitable for measurement in combination with portable devices and in applications where traditional transducers are not fitting due to space or weight constraints.

Rogowski coils are based on a simple principle: an "air-cored" coil is placed around the conductor in a toroidal fashion. The magnetic field produced by the AC current induces a voltage in the coil proportional to the rate of change of current. This voltage is integrated to produce an output proportional to the actual current.
