Product Description
HF Integrator Overview
HF Integrator Detail
HF High Frequency Integrator

HF is a High Frequency Rogowski coil integrator, housed in a compact shield aluminium alloy enclosure and powered directly from the mains. It provides measurement for all kinds of waveforms such as 1/5μs, 8/20μs, and 10/350μs. With a frequency range from 100kHz to 1MHz, it features a direct connection to an oscilloscope.

Functions of the Integrator
1
Rogowski coil output is a weak voltage mV signal; the HF integrator amplifies and converts it to a standard signal compatible with multimeters and oscilloscopes.
2
The signal equalization ensures a linear response across a wide frequency range, keeping the same output level over various electrical network frequencies.
3
Essential for equalizing and shifting the output signal by 90°. It consists of an active electronic circuit with negligible offset and high linearity.
Core Advantages Typical Applications
• High read accuracy: 2% typical
• Wide power supply: 4-12VDC
• Multiple waveform restoration (1/5μs, 8/20μs, 10/350μs)
• Measurement up to 500kA lightning current
• Measuring devices and lab instrumentation
• Lightning protection and monitoring
• Pulse waveform analysis
• High frequency current measurement
What is a Rogowski coil?

Rogowski coils are used for the detection and measurement of electric currents based on a simple principle: an "air-cored" coil is placed around the conductor, and the magnetic field induces a voltage proportional to the rate of change of current. This voltage is integrated to produce an output proportional to the current.

Rogowski Coil Principle
Technical Advantages
  • Wide dynamic range and high linearity.
  • Ideal for large or awkward shaped conductors with limited access.
  • No danger from open-circuited secondaries; cannot be damaged by overloads.
  • Non-intrusive: draws no power from the main circuit.
  • Lightweight and can be suspended on the conductor.
  • Accurate measurement of AC even with large superimposed DC components.

Safety and Warning Notes

Caution! Risk of Danger: Ignoring warnings can lead to serious injury or damage. Installation must be performed by qualified personnel. Ensure all national regulations are observed.

Caution! Risk of Electrical Shock: Parts of the module may carry hazardous live voltage. Ensure protection measures are in place. Disconnect power supply before maintenance.

Warning: Do not stress the coil with mechanical force (twisting, puncturing, excessive pressure), as this will degrade measurement accuracy.
